The City of Everett Animal Shelter is caring for a large number of dogs that were seized Friday Jan. 16 as part of a Snohomish County Sheriff's Office investigation of an alleged puppy mill.

We appreciate your patience with us at this time as we are managing large volumes of inquiries and requests.

To assist the shelter during this busy time, please consider doing one of the following:

1)Donate towels or blankets to be used as bedding for the dogs.

2)Donate money to the shelter for laundry service and medical care. Send donations in the form of a check to the shelter or drop it by during operating hours. The shelter address is: 2732 36th Street, Everett, WA 98201.

3)Adoption of the seized animals has not yet been determined. If you are interested in adopting one of the seized animals, send your name, address, phone number and email address to: bwessman@ci.everett.wa.us.

4) The shelter is not accepting new volunteers at this time to assist with the current situation. However, it is possible help will be needed for other duties in coming days. If you would like to volunteer, please send your name, phone number and email to Shelter Director Bud Wessman at bwessman@ci.everett.wa.us.
