Despite a grass fire at the north end of Jetty Island, the beach is open, the ferries are running and summer fun awaits you. Currently the north end of the island is closed as a wild fire crew works to put out the fire located over a mile north of the beach. Everett would like to remind you that fireworks and open fires are illegal in the city. Camp fires are allowed on Jetty Island only within the designated fire rings. Keep safety a number one priority and always use water to douse a campfire.
