The trip planner recognizes four types of locations: Addresses, Intersections, Landmarks and Everett Transit Bus Stop IDs. The following tips will help you enter in locations that the trip planner can easily recognize as one of these valid location types.
Avoid using the browser back button for planning a new trip. Use the << Back button above the trip planner.
Addresses
- Do NOT type in the City, State or Zip
- You do not need to type in "Ave","St",etc. The trip planner will automatically bring up options for you to choose from.
- CORRECT: 3200 Colby
- INCORRECT: 3200 Colby Blvd. Everett, Wa.
- CORRECT: 7100 Harderson
- INCORRECT: Harderson St. Everett
- Some streets and addresses are unknown to the ET Trip Planner system. You may need to enter another nearby location, such as an intersection or a landmark such as Ash Way Park or County Courthouse.
- If you are unfamiliar with the area, you can simply type in the name of the city you are going to and a list of landmarks will be automatically generated for you.
- When typing a street without an address such as Wetmore or Colby it will be treated as a landmark and results can vary. Use a street block in conjunction with a street name for better results.
Intersections
- Do NOT type in the "and" to separate Intersections use "&"
- You don't need to type in the city. The Trip Planner shows the possible city names as options if needed.
- CORRECT: Evergreen & Casino
- INCORRECT: Evergreen and Casino Everett
- You don't need to type in the directional designations for streets, but if a direction name is part of a street name, you should include it.
- CORRECT: 34th & West Viewmont
- INCORRECT: 34th W & West Viewmont Way W.
- Some streets and addresses are unknown to the Trip Planner. You may need to enter another nearby location, such as an intersection or a landmark.
- If you are unfamiliar with the area, you can simply type in the name of the city you are going to and list of landmarks will be automatically generated for you.
Landmarks
The Trip Planner recognizes many landmarks. Using a landmark as a location can be a very efficient way of planning a trip as many bus routes have been designed to cater to these locations. Our landmarks include the following landmark types:
- Government Sites
- Major Commercial Sites
- Swift Stations
- Schools & Colleges
- Sports & Leisure
- Medical Facilities
- Transit Centers
- Park and Ride Lots
- Metro Tunnel Stations
Stop IDs
Everett Transit's trip planner also provides the capability to plan a trip from one of our bus stops. Simply enter in the four-digit numeral printed in large type located on the post of our bus stop signs located at each stop.
- If you are having trouble planning a specific trip, try adjusting the distance of how far you are willing to walk and your preferences with regards to fastest trip, fewest transfers and minimal walking.
