|
Treated water leaves the clearwell through an 84-inch diameter pipeline. Part of the water flows directly into one of the transmission lines, which is gravity fed straight to your faucet. The remaining water is piped to the Finished Water Pump Station (FWPS) where it is pumped to the other transmission lines. |
|
Four transmission lines carry the water from the Filter Plant into Everett and Snohomish County. Three transmission lines can be seen from the trestle on Highway 2 east of Everett. Two of these transmission lines carry treated drinking water. The third carries untreated water for industrial use at Kimberly-Clark Corp. A fourth line takes a southern route and can be seen from Homeacres Road west of Snohomish. Next Stop - End Use |
