Charter Review Committee

The City's Charter Review Committee is a group of 15 appointed volunteers tasked with reviewing the City's charter.  The charter is the City's constitution that outlines how the City's legislative, judicial and executive branches operate.  The City's charter was originally adopted in 1968 and last reviewed 10 years ago.

The 2006 Charter Review Commission is scheduled to give a list of recommended changes to the charter to the City Council by June 1 as outlined in the resolution that established the Charter Review Commission.

Members include: Clint Stanovsky, Brent Olson, Don Hopkins, Carl Gipson, Michael Trujillo, Chris Knapp, Jo Metzger-Levin, Doug McNall, Gary Meisner, Phil Bannan, Connie Niva, Mary Sievers, Marian Krell, Reid Shockey and Gigi Burke.
