Join us at Thornton A. Sullivan Park this season for one of our races on the water. The events can be viewed from Silver Lake Beach (no swimming on race day). We recommend you bring chairs or blankets to sit on. Be prepared for what ever the weather brings with umbrellas, sunscreen, hats and sunglasses.    

55th Annual Silver Lake Hydro Plane Races
Come out to Silver Lake and experience the energy and excitement of the 55th Annual Silver Lake Hydro Plane Races. This annual event is sponsored by the Seattle Outboard Association and features over 70 boats in 15 race classes. The Kiwanis Club will be selling refreshments during the event. It’s a guaranteed good time!

Hawaiian Canoe Races at Silver Lake
This family-oriented event is hosted by Hui Wa’a O of Puget Sound, an organization dedicated to perpetuating native Hawaiian culture in the Pacific Northwest. You will witness the sport of outrigger canoe racing that includes both youth and adult races. Enjoy the Hawaiian music and visit the concessions stand.
