Bike Planning Study

The City of Everett completed an update to the Transportation Element of the City's Comprehensive Plan in 2007.  This update resulted in a multi-modal plan and includes transit and non-motorized (bikes & pedestrian) modes in addition to roadways.

The transportation element identified the need to improve links between existing bike transportation facilities as well as to expand the bike transportation grid.

The City has commissioned a 'Bike Planning Study' to advance the goals of the Transportation Element.  Alta Planning & Design of Portland, Oregon, has been contracted to prepare a Bicycle Implementation Plan.  Their scope of work includes evaluating Everett's current system, gathering input from stakeholders, preparing bicycle faciltity design guidelines, and developing a prioritized implementation plan for bicycle facilties.
