The Evergreen Neighborhood Association was formed in late 2004 with assistance from Office of Neighborhoods Coordinator Wendy McClure. Neighborhood meetings include reports from city staff, information on neighborhood events and guest speakers.

Homes in the area are primarily single-family, owner-occupied houses in a variety of styles, ages and sizes. Condominiums and apartment buildings can be found on the north and south sides of Beverly Lake. The area is distinguished by its beautiful groupings of large evergreen trees.
