Medic One Foundation

Community leaders created the Medic One Foundation in 1988 and its board of directors. The goal of the Medic One Foundation is to help save lives and improve the quality of emergency medical services in the Everett and Snohomish County communities, as well as enhancing the general public’s understanding of this critically important mission.

Since then, the Foundation has focused on continuing education, quality assurance, public education and research.  The Foundation works with the Everett Fire Department and surrounding emergency services agencies.

The Foundation is active in the following priority programs:

Heart Saver School Program:
Placing AEDs and providing CPR/AED training to the school Staff, all Middle School students and High School students throughout Snohomish County Schools.  The Everett School District has placed AEDs in every school in their district.  Nearly every school district in Snohomish County, including several private schools, has also placed AEDs in their school system.

Everett Medic One Bike Team:
The Everett Medic One Foundation supports the Medic One Bike Team with activities such as Bike Safety Rodeos and Helmet provision and fitting programs.  Additionally, the Foundation assists the team in providing helmets to Christmas House, a local charity that provides toys and gifts to needy families.
